We are proud to announce the launch of the 'Record Plane Reviews' (www.record-plane-reviews.co.uk)
website.
The 'Record Plane Reviews' website contains a wealth of information for any person
who needs to find information about a particular Record plane. The website is in
effect an encylopedia of Record planes made in the 20th century.
Each Record plane model number has a unique
page dedicated to it containing photographs, specific information about the plane,
manufacturing dates, an indication of value, places where you might be able to buy
the plane secondhand, places where you can buy new alternative versions of the plane
and much more. In addition to this, the reader is able to interact with other
readers and Record plane collectors by writing messages on the page, whether to
ask a question or simply to offer their points-of-view about a particular tool.
The reader is also able to help other readers by rating an individual plane out of
five stars.
The website also contains some very interesting pages such as the
'History of Record Tools' page and some very useful pages such as
'How To Find The Age Of A Record Plane' and our
'Record Rare Plane List'.
The writers of the Record plane reviews and articles are father and son, Paul and
Peter:
- Paul has spent the last seven years researching, handling, buying and selling old Record planes and tools. During this time Paul has gained a wealth of knowledge about the tools which were made by Record during the 20th century.
- Peter has been a carpenter by trade for the past 40 years and has been collecting planes for the past 10 years.
In addition to their experience handling and using these plane, they have studied
a library of 20th century Record tool catalogues and tool retailer catalogues.
Additional information is to be added to the website as and when new information
comes to light.
